Morning Expectations:
Please be cautious in the parking lot and patient. Staff members are in charge of parking the parking lots. Please follow their directions.
The building and parking lot will open at 7:30 am. (No students may be dropped off before 7:30)
If you arrive after the 8:15 am bell, you will need to park your car and walk in with your child to sign them in for the day. Students will not be allowed to sign in after 8:15 am without an adult present.
Only unload students at designated stops. Students must exit on the vehicle on the right side only.
Be sure that students are ready to exit the car quickly. Please say goodbyes in the car before arriving to the stop.
If your child needs assistance carrying in large items, park your car and walk your student into the building.
Afternoon Expectations:
All students must be picked up between 3:30 and 4 pm (except those enrolled in extended care)
Parents will not be allowed to have students called down to the office after 3:10 pm.
Failure to pick your student(s) up on time will result in the following fees:
Between 4pm and 4:15pm: $5 fee
After 4:15pm: student(s) will be automatically enrolled in Extended Care for the rest of the week at $25 per student
Park and Pick-Up Option:
Brookside Charter encourages all parents to park and enter the building to speak with their student(s) teacher. The strong partnership between parent and teacher will benefit the student.
Elementary (K-4th) – Students must be picked up in their classroom between 3:30 and 4pm. Teachers are required to have someone from the pick-up list sign them out.
Middle School (5th-8th) – Students will report to the gym at 3:35 pm and sit in their designated section of the bleachers. Parents will be allowed to enter the gym at 3:40pm and sign each student out with the homeroom teacher.
Carpool Pick-Up Option (Located on Euclid Ave., on the east side of the building, opposite of the main entrance):
Brookside Charter understands it may be difficult to enter the building every day. Carpool is designed to have parents stay in their cars and students will come out to you.
In order to participate you must register in ADVANCE and receive a carpool number.
Carpool Expectations:
Carpool starts at 3:30 pm. Do not arrive before 3:20 pm. All traffic will be directed to continue moving until 3:20pm.
Carpool ends at 3:55pm. If you are not in line prior to 3:55pm you will be asked to park your car and enter the building.
Carpool number tags must be displayed on the driver’s side of the dashboard.
Your carpool number is your family’s number for the entire year. If you loose your number, you will need to pay a $10 fee for a new tag.
Do not make U-turns. Use the cul-de-sac at the end of Euclid Ave.
If you decide to change your dismissal for the year, please fill out a “Change of Dismissal” form with the front office.
If a teacher or administrator needs to meet with you, you may be asked to park your car in the main lot and enter the building.
