Coach Michelle Pulido is going into her first year at Brookside Charter and the fourth of her career. Coach Michelle Pulido is a Missouri native who has played volleyball from a young age. Coach Pulido began playing varsity in seventh grade and was a four year lettermen in high school. Coach Pulido won the MAAC State Championship in her junior and senior seasons at Tri-City Christian. Coach Pulido also made the MAAC All Tournament team her sophomore through senior year. Coach Pulido graduated from Avila University with a bachelor’s degree in social work, and a masters degree in social work. While attending Avila University on a volleyball scholarship, Coach Pulido was a three year letterman and a two year captain on the women’s volleyball team before injuring her knee. After her knee injury her senior year, Coach Pulido became an assistant on the Lady Eagles volleyball team. Coach Pulido has been coaching for five years with several club volleyball teams with a focus on teaching middle school girls the basic fundamentals of the game and a love for the sport.

Coach Elise Cotton is entering her first year at Brookside and her fourth as a coach. Coach Elise is a Kansas native who has played basketball from a young age. Coach Elise began playing varsity in eighth grade and was a four year letter-winner in high school. Coach Elise won the 3A State Championship in her sophomore, junior, and senior seasons at Olathe Christian. Coach Elise also won NACA National Tournament titles her junior and senior year, and was named to the NACA All Tournament team her senior year. Coach Elise attended Drake University on an academic scholarship and maintained a 3.5 GPA while she was there. Coach Elise has been coaching for four years in the Warrior Hoops program with a focus on teaching elementary and middle school girls about the love of Christ and the fundamentals of basketball.Coach Elise began playing varsity in eighth grade and was a four year letter-winner in high school. Coach Bergman teaches Elementary PE and coaches several sports at Brookside Charter School. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and is on track to complete a master’s in education in May. Coach Bergman played varsity soccer and varsity golf in high school and has been involved in recreational league sports since. Coach Bergman is very excited to see how much the Brookside Bears can grow this school year!
