Written Out Loud Program Publishes 44 Student Authors

Brookside Charter School launched the Written Out Loud Creative Writing program during summer school of 2025. The result, 44 of our students became PUBLISHED AUTHORS! These students were celebrated with a Book Ceremony where each author received a copy of their book, read their writing, signed books, and celebrated their accomplishment with friends, family, and the community! Special appearances from our very own Brookside Charter School drumline, Written Out Loud,  FOX4 News Kansas City, KCTV5 News Kansas City, KMBC 9 News Kansas City, and  SchoolSmart KC to highlight this special moment.
